Formulated with non irritating, pH scalp friendly ingredients, including raw honey and shea butter to moisturise, soften and promote growth for normal to dry hair types. An easy to lather and rinse formula that won't leave reside or heaviness but rather silky, tangle free tresses.

Also contains organic, raw and unfiltered 'Mother' rich coconut vinegar to balance pH and provide smoothness, strength and shine to the hair.

Free of harsh synthetic fragrances; the natural pure essential oils of rose, orange and patchouli will leave both your senses and your hair revived and smelling divine.

Not soap based, they are firm and last well: proudly plastic free, from hive to hair since 2015.

As the shampoo ingredients may be new to many, please see below for further information as to what they are and why we use them:

Sodium Coco Sulfate: an EcoCert approved ingredient, made from the fatty acids of coconut oil, a good palm-free alternative to sodium lauryl sulfate. It is milder, creates a rich foam, cleanses hair and leaves a great shine.

Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate: also derived from coconut oil. It is mild, well tolerated and has good foaming power, providing a rich creamy lather.

Shea Butter: helps to soften coarse, dry, frizzy hair and make it more manageable.

Varisoft EQ 65: a green, EcoCert approved, readily biodegradable ester quat which acts as a high performing conditioning agent aiding in smoothing down the hair cuticle and preventing hair damage. It is conditioning to scalp and hair, while improving wet detangling and combing, it offers a superior hair feel.

Cetearyl Alcohol: an emollient known to soften hair and provide slip which allows us to detangle our hair better without breakage.

Coconut Vinegar: raw, unfiltered and containing the 'Mother', our vinegar is made from the sap of the coconut palm. Once extracted it is allowed to naturally ferment in small batches of acetic acid at circa 4%. Most haircare products don't address hair pH when they should and most shampoos tend to be too alkaline for a healthy scalp. As a highly acidic substance, this vinegar helps balance pH by increasing acidity and lowering the pH to the optimum for supporting hair smoothness, strength, and shine.

Raw Honey: a humectant which hydrates and seals moisture in your hair, keeping it feed and healthy. It has rich antioxidant properties which prevent damage, keeping your scalp and hair fortified and is naturally anti-bacterial helping to prevent scalp infections and working to soothe scalp conditions such as seborrheic dermatitis, dandruff and psoriasis.

Rose Geranium Essential Oil: quenches hair, promotes growth and leaves your locks smelling divine, naturally.

Queen Bee shampoo bar is available in a circa 75g round or 4 x circa 75g rounds. Hand wrapped in fully compostable, recycled greaseproof paper. Please note that as our shampoo bars are hand produced their weight can vary slightly.

Directions for Use

Stroke our shampoo bar all over your wet hair or rub between your hands to create a lather. Gently message and then leave for a few minutes to let the nourishing ingredients work on the scalp and then rinse . Be sure to inhale the uplifting aroma of the hair hydrating rose, orange and patchouli natural essential oils.

Queen Bee rose shampoo bar

I have tried shampoo bars in the past in attempt to cut down on plastic bottles but I've always found they leave my hair either lank or dry. This Queen Bee bar is amazing. It smells divine and lathered up well (another thing lacking in other shampoo bars). It was really easy to rinse out and it left my usually dry hair very soft and tangle free. I didn't even need to use conditioner after. I'd imagine it also lasts for ages. Brilliant product!
