As well as natural colours, our gentle, silky formula is infused with pure beeswax, skin-boosting oils and raw Welsh honey to deeply nourish and feed your lips, leaving them irresistibly soft, smoothed and tinted.
Sweet Pea pink is perfect for all skin tones, providing a natural and subtle pink hue to enhance the lips and cheeks. Did you know, the sweet pea flower has a soft fragrance that attracts bees with its pastel colours. This is our most subtle lip tint. If you want to build up colour simply layer it up!
Our Poppy red shade is universally flattering for all skin tones. It has a balanced mix of orange and blue undertones, making it perfect as a subtle flush of colour on both lips and cheeks, or, for a more dramatic look, simply build up the tint for a vibrant burst of pigment. Fun fact: even bees are attracted to the poppy's bright hue!
Chestnut bronze complements all skin tones by providing a rich, gentle bronze shade with golden undertones. Can also be used as a natural bronzing face balm for a sun-kissed look. Very flattering used on eye lids to compliment blue/green eyes. In fact, the strongly scented flowers of the chestnut tree are a favourite of the bees so you are in good company!
Each tinted balm is hand poured into an elegant glass jar with a recyclable aluminium lid and is packaged together with an eco-friendly bamboo lip brush - an attractive addition to your dresser or a thoughtful gift for a loved one.
15g in glass jar with aluminium lid and bamboo mini lip brush.

Reviews
“Vibrant tinted balms which condition and glide on easily
The tinted bee lip balms are smooth and glide on beautifully. The colours are vibrant and last several hours. The balm conditions and leaves lips shining and soft.”
“Beautiful colour and makes my lips soft
As I lover of tinted lips balms I was excited to try this. I tried the colour Sweet Pea but I definitely plan to buy the other colours. The balm melts to the touch making it easy to apply. The initial swipe is sheer but you can apply more to build the colour. It last well eating and drinking but you can easily apply without a mirror. The balm itself keeps my lips moisturised without feeling greasy or sticky. Overall the balm gives me a natural flush of colour on my lips whilst also giving me all the benefits of a balm.”
“Nourishing with a hit of colour
I tested out the 'Poppy' colour of the tinted lip balms, and was not disappointed, I have pale (Scottish skin) and red hair; the tone of the balm is subtle and very moisturising, two bonuses in one, cold weather chapped lips are a thing of the past.”

Handy Tips:
- After applying to lips, use the last bit to tap onto cheeks for a natural blush or smooth over eyelids for a colour pop.
- Use as a contouring and highlighting balm.
- Chestnut works well as a natural bronzing balm for a sun-kissed look.
- Layer on to ramp up the colour intensity.
- Take with you to reapply - it's not a long lasting tint.

As mentioned on another review, the mandarin lip balm was my first foray into HBB products, and I love it. With the arrival of Summer, I was considering something with an extra bit of colour to it, and started to consider one of these jars. By way of background - I'm a lifetime avoider of lipstick. The colour of my lips compared with the particular kind of pale colour of my skin made it very difficult to find a lipstick that make me look either garish or unwell. I also didn't like the dryness that you get with many lipsticks. Equally, I was put off by other coloured lip balms, which either tended to just be sticky, or were ineffective as a lip balm.
So it was with some hesitancy that I approached the HBB tinted and conditioning lip balms. They aren't cheap, and I had visions of it being another expensive make-up mistake, to add to the many others I have made over time. I should have known better, with an HBB product. These really are lovely - and share the same beautiful conditioning effect as the mandarin balm that I love, which lasts quite a while after application, under normal conditions. You also only need a bit - so, the tinted lip balm jar is going to last A.G.E.S.
Over to the colours - I bought the chestnut and sweet pea to try out. Just from the online pictures and videos, I thought the chestnut might be too brown and the sweet pea too purple for a pale redhead. Well, it turns out that the sweet pea is just perfect. For my skin/lip colour combination, it adds a really lovely layer of......refinement....is probably the best word I can think of. It's not substantially changing the colour of my lips - which I didn't want, for the reasons described above - but just makes them look....expensive! It defines the edges better than the mandarin lip balm alone, and adds a little bit of depth to my natural colour. REALLY pleased with it. You can also layer it up, if you want to deepen the colour more than I do.
The chestnut colour is indeed a bit browner than would be ideal for my lips, given my colouring. However, nothing is wasted: I've just repurpose it as a beautifully subtle eye shadow or bronzer (and again, you'll only need a tiny bit.....and it comes with the usual HBB assurances of being a natural product). I might also try blending the sweet pea and chestnut, as I've heard other people have done, and see what that looks like.
I was just reading through some of the other reviews and noted a couple of people mentioning that it can be a bit difficult to apply on the go. You certainly do get a great effect when using the lip brush supplied. However, I've also find that you can decant some into an empty HBB lip balm/tester size tin, which gives you easier access than the slightly rounder jar opening of these lip balms. You can then be as precise with application as you could be with any tin lip balm. I usually apply to the bottom lip, and then roll my lips together, to ensure an even and effective spread, which works almost as well as the lip brush, for me. You end up with just the one fingertip with any remnants of product on, which I find will just wipe into my hand or arm skin beautifully. This also keeps the main jar more hygienic: I can leave that at home, rather than opening and closing it all the time, on the move. I actually use that same decanting "trick" with several of my HBB products, to keep the main jars fresh for as long as possible.
If you don't fancy that approach - I've seen a set of travel lip brushes on a well known online store (I'm sure more eco friendly alternatives are around) that come with three less than 2 inch "stubby" lipstick applicator brushes. They look a bit like the eyeshadow applicators that you can get, but even shorter. That might be easier to use on the move than a full sized brush.
Anyway - if you're wondering whether to try one of these, I'd go for it. Am so pleased with the Sweet Pea - my go-to "glam-up" lip balm for special days. And isn't every day a special day, now that I think about it!?
Excellent for lips, one layer to moisturise with a little colour, or an extra layer to enhance the colour of you want more vibrant colour. Also adds colours to cheeks, without drying skin as some make up can . Winner
After nearly 2 years of using only HHB products I braved the SweatPea lip balm. Braved as I get allergic reactions to all sorts. Lovely product, the colour is devine, yet very subtle and natural, really glamours, perfect for day and night. It comes with a little applicator and i find it easier to apply than lipstick. Lasts a fair time too, after application. So very pleased and it's natural and cruelty free credentials make it great value, only need a tiny amount.
The Sweet Pea lip balm is so nice . Subtle colour and not sticky . My lips have been dry recently but I could feel the difference almost at once …
Well done ! 👍
The colour sweet pea is a very soft mauve pink colour you can build the colour up. It does not dry the lips and stays on. Lovely product.
